Reports of noise complaints in Leicestershire
Dear Leicestershire County Council,
Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the following information:
- The total number of complaints about noise that could be a ‘statutory nuisance’ under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, made between April 1st 2018 and April 1st 2023
- The reason for each of the above complaints, for example noise from intruder alarms, noise from construction work etc
If you have any questions or require any further clarification, please get in touch.
Yours faithfully,
Emily Pinch
Thank you for your information request. This is an automated response and
acknowledgement.
If you have submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act
(FOIA) or the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR), your request
will be considered and you will receive our response within the statutory
timescale of 20 working days.
If we need to clarify anything or your query is regarding a different
matter one of our FOI team will be in contact within 5 working days.
Dear Emily,
Thank you for your request. Unfortunately, we do not hold this information
as the County Council is not responsible for the investigation and
recording of noise complaints.
In Leicestershire as a whole, the city, the district and the borough
councils are responsible for this function and would therefore be in a
better position to answer this request.
A list of the district / borough councils is provided on the following
page: [1]http://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/find-yo...
Kind regards,
FOI Team
Leicestershire County Council
