Dear Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council,
I wish to request a FOI act regarding a specific street in Bolton.
Back Norris street in Little lever Bolton is an adopted back street
which Bolton council has made little or no repairs to since the houses built around it were constructed circa 1840. I request all information held on how much money Bolton council has spent on the cost of repairs to this street between 1980 and 2017 along with a full and comprehensive list of checks carried out by Bolton council for the same period.

In response to your request for information received at this office on 1st
July  2017, please see the Council’s response below.

 

You requested

 

Back Norris street in Little lever Bolton is an adopted back street which
Bolton council has made little or no repairs to since the houses built
around it were constructed circa 1840. I request all information held on
how much money Bolton council has spent on the cost of repairs to this
street between 1980 and 2017 along with a full and comprehensive list of
checks carried out by Bolton council for the same period.

 

 

Our response

In accordance with Section 1 (1) of the Act the Authority has a duty to
confirm whether it holds the information of the description specified in
the request, and if that is the case, to have the information communicated
to the requester.

 

This information is not held as Bolton Council does not record the cost of
the individual minor repairs undertaken across its highway network. 
Therefore, Bolton Council does not hold the requested information
regarding how much money has been invested in Back Norris Street on these
type of repairs since 1980.

 

Therefore in accordance with Section 1(1) of the Act the Authority is
unable to comply with this part of your request.

 

 

•           a full and comprehensive list of checks carried out by Bolton
council for the same period

 

Please see attached copies of all the recorded highway inspections.

 

Bolton Councils only hold records of its highway inspections going back to
2008.  Therefore, Bolton Council does not hold the requested information
going back from 2008 to 1980.

 

Therefore in accordance with Section 1(1) of the Act the Authority is
unable to comply with this part of your request.
