Freedom of Information Request - Repairs carried out under part XVI of the
1985 Housing Act
I write in response to your above Freedom of Information request, received
in this office on 3^rd July 2018.
Please find the answers to your questions below:
1) Under the above Act, were houses built by Levitt Cartwright deemed to
be defective and, if so
Under the 1984 Housing Defects Act, which was later consolidated into Part
XVI of the 1985 Housing Act, Levitt- Cartwright houses were not deemed to
be defective, please see the attachment.
2) Were the appropriate repairs carried out on 81 Swinnow Road, Leeds LS13
4NY
We do not hold any recorded information in this regard.
I trust that this response is satisfactory. If however you are
dissatisfied with this response you have a right to appeal to an
independent officer within City Development. They will re-examine your
request and assess whether we have adhered to the requirements of the act.
