This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Mae'r ymateb i'r cais hwn yn hwyr iawn. Yn ôl y gyfraith, ym mhob amgylchiad, dylai Universities UK fod wedi ymateb erbyn hyn. (manylion). Gallwch gwyno drwy yn gofyn am adolygiad mewnol.

Dear Universities UK,

I appreciate you are not required to respond to FOI requests, but would very much appreciate an answer to this request if possible.

1) How many heads of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) sit on the remuneration committee of their institution?

2) What is the average highest paid to median paid (academic, professional, and support staff) ratio of the institutions on which the Vice Chancellor sits on his/her own remuneration committee?

3) What is the average highest paid to median paid (academic, professional, and support staff) ratio of the institutions on which the Vice Chancellor does not sit on his/her own remuneration committee?

By 'own' remuneration committee, I simply mean remuneration committee of the university. I fully understand that even if Vice Chancellors are on their own remuneration committee, they will often be barred from being present when their own remuneration is discussed.

I am researching evidence for a project of which there is a deadline of 30th September - so would greatly appreciate it if you could reply by then.

Yours faithfully,

William Dry
