Removal of Payphones in Bassetlaw villages

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Bassetlaw District Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Bassetlaw District Council,

I have been informed that BT intend to remove the only remaining payphone in Elkesley village, following "... consultation with Bassetlaw District Council [during which] they did not object to the removal."

Please provide all Council material and correspondence in matters dealing with payphones in the District, and particularly Elkesley, since January 2016.

Yours faithfully,
Garland Hopkins

Dear Bassetlaw District Council,
With reference to this Freedom of Information request - regarding payphones in the Bassetlaw area - by law, public authorities must respond “promptly” and within 20 days.
You have failed in this regard, with the exception of a receipt response on 20 November 2017, and a reason for your inaction is required prior to escalation.
Yours faithfully,
Garland Hopkins

Dear Ms Taylor,

Thank you for the response to my FoI request regarding removal of payphones within the Bassetlaw area.

However, the responses you have supplied contain only BT correspondence dated September and October 2016.

As requested, please supply "all Council material" related to this matter, unless Bassetlaw District Council made no response to the BT letters, took no action on receipt, or recieved no other communications from 3rd parties in this regard to this matter

Yours sincerely,
Garland Hopkins

Dear Bassetlaw District Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

Following my 23 December 2017 supplementary request for "all Council material" regarding this Freedom of Information request, I have allowed a reasonable amount of time to pass due to the Christmas and New Year period.

As you have failed to supply any further material to this date, I am now writing to request an internal review of Bassetlaw District Council's handling of my FOI request 'Removal of Payphones in Bassetlaw villages'.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/r...

Yours faithfully,
Garland Hopkins

Dear Bassetlaw District Council,

On 20 November 2017 a Freedom of Information request to Bassetlaw District Council was made regarding BT payphone removal in Bassetlaw villages.

What was regarded as an incomplete response was eventually received on 22 December 2017, and an additional request was made.

With no further response from BDC, an Internal Review was requested on 18 January 2018.

As a "reasonable" amount of time has passed since this request, and no further correspondence has been received regarding the matter, you are advised that should no response to my Internal Review request be made in FIVE working days, this matter will be referred to the Information Commissioner's Office for your failure to comply with the law.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/r...

Yours faithfully,
Garland Hopkins

Dear Mr Wormald,

I note in the latest documents produced by you in regards to my FoI Request, questions asked to two fellow BDC employees by e-mail regarding this matter, but apparently no replies from either of them.

I also note that these latest documents, found almost one year after my initial Freedom of Information request, only relate to one single payphone within the whole Bassetlaw District Council area.

This matter has, again, been referred back to The Information Commissioner's office, in the hope that within another year you may find further Council documents related to this matter down the back of a sofa.

Yours sincerely,
Garland Hopkins
