Release of DOCUMENTS classified as Confidential for 75 Years
Dear Attorney General’s Office,
I understand that some Documents relating to the prosecution of Nazi War Criminals after the Second World War, including some concerning the torture and killing of British and French Citizens/Soldiers during and after the War in North-East France, were subject to a 75 Year Classification for their release:-
1. How many documents that come into this 75 Year Classification are still to be released by the British Government?
2. What are the Titles/Subjects of the documents still to be released?
3. When are the remaining documents to be released?
4. Are there any plans to introduce legislation in the U.K. similar to the United States War Crimes Disclosure Act?
Thanking you in anticipation.
Yours faithfully,
Rob Heale
