Referrals of cancer patients for genetic screening

Dear Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust,

I would be most grateful if you could provide information about cancer services provided by your Trust, as follows:-

1. The total number of patients treated/diagnosed with breast cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
2. The number of patients under the age of 50 treated/diagnosed with breast cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
3. The total number of patients referred for genetic screening related to breast cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
4. The number of patients under the age of 50 referred for genetic screening related to breast cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
5. The total number of non-patient referrals (eg relatives of patients) for genetic screening related to breast cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

6. The total number of patients treated/diagnosed with uterine or ovarian cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
7. The number of patients under the age of 50 treated/diagnosed with uterine or ovarian cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
8. The total number of patients referred for genetic screening related to uterine or ovarian cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
9. The number of patients under the age of 50 referred for genetic screening related to uterine or ovarian cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
10. The total number of non-patient referrals (eg relatives of patients) for genetic screening related to uterine or ovarian cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

11. The total number of patients treated/diagnosed with colorectal cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
12. The number of patients under the age of 50 treated/diagnosed with colorectal cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
13. The total number of patients referred for genetic screening related to colorectal cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
14. The number of patients under the age of 50 referred for genetic screening related to colorectal cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
15. The total number of non-patient referrals (eg relatives of patients) for genetic screening related to colorectal cancer during the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

assistance.  I would therefore be grateful if you could clarify the two
issues below in order for us to process your application as fast and as
accurate as possible.

 

1.      With the reference to the  “total number” in your below request
could you confirm please if this is to include the below tumour types.

 

·         Primary, Metastasis, Recurrence, Unknown, and benign.

 

2.      Could you confirm please if the reference to breast cancer
includes  invasive breast cancer (ICD10 C50) (and insitu tumours (ICD10
D05)

 

Once we have received your clarification we shall continue to work on your
request and provide a response to you within the recalculated 20 working
day time frame.
