Recruiting and training staff to fill the Euratom gap

The request is waiting for clarification. If you are Alex Seabrook, please sign in to send a follow up message.

Dear Office for Nuclear Regulation,

I am requesting the following information under the Freedom of Information Act.

As the UK leaves Euratom, and the ONR will take over its duties, I have read: "This has meant an intense period of recruiting staff, training and upskilling existing staff to ensure we have enough fully warranted inspectors and support staff."

In light of this:

How many staff have you recruited?
How many more staff do you plan to recruit?
How much training and upskilling has been carried out?
How much more training and upskilling do you plan to carry out?
What examples of training and upskilling can you name?
What are the top three risks you identify coming from staff shortages and skills shortages?

Kind regards,

Alex Seabrook
