Dear Peter

Your information request (FOI2018-0963)

I write in response to your email of 24 July 2018 in which you requested
the following information held by the Council:

“Please supply a list of Tenants Associations of leaseholders which you
recognise under Section 29 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, with
details of any online presence and contact details you have for each”

Response
I have considered your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
(FOIA) and can confirm that the Council does hold some information in
response to your request.

The Council has formally recognised two tenants groups in accordance with
the guidelines provided by the Association of Registered Management
Agents/the tribunal. These are leaseholder groups at Trellick Tower and
Tregunter East. There may be more but unfortunately, having contacted the
relevant departments I am unable to definitely say if there are others.

You will find the contact details for the Trellick Tower group on the RBKC
website here - [1]https://www.rbkc.gov.uk/residents/listin....
Unfortunately the only contact details for the Tregunter East group that
the Council holds are the personal email addresses of members. For this
reason, I am unable to release these contact details to you under FOIA
because this information constitutes third party personal data and so the
exemption at section 40(2) FOIA is engaged.

Complaints
Should you be unhappy with the handling of your request, the Council has
an internal complaints process for handling FOIA complaints. Complaints
are reviewed by the Chief Solicitor and Monitoring Officer or her nominee.
A form is available from our website to lodge your complaint
[2]http://www.rbkc.gov.uk/councilanddemocra...
Please contact us if you do not have website access and we can provide you
with a copy of the form. Following this review, should you still be
unhappy with how your information request has been handled, you have a
further right to appeal to the Information Commissioner who is responsible
for ensuring compliance with FOIA.

Yours sincerely
