Re: Local Transparency
Under the Freedom of Information Act I request the following information:
Request 1 - What has been the total cost of providing fire cover during periods of strike action to your organisation since: 1st September 2013 and up to 17th June 2014 ?
Request 2 - Please provide a breakdown of these costs as categorized by your organisation’s account reporting system.
Request 3 – On how many occasions have your organisation’s fire fighting resources(pumps, specials, support equipment etc) not been available outside of the strike periods as a result of deployment to strike cover activity?

I am now able to respond to you Freedom of Information request regarding
'Local Transparency'.  Please find our response below.
Answer to Requests 1 & 2
Cost to the Service through time spent by officers providing cover and
overtime £173,696.00. Please note that we have included all officer time
in this even if the strike period was in normal working hours. This is to
cost the impact on the Service as officers were prevented from carrying
out their day job as they were providing operational cover £173,696.00
On-call station costs for providing 'wholetime cover' £31,152.00     
Additional WT & Support Costs £19,552.00     
Total Employee Costs  £224,400.00    
Messing £2,300.00     
Travel & Subsistence £100.00     
Allowances  £2,400.00    
ORH Modelling £5,900.00     
Consultancy  £5,900.00    
Water Rescue £34,000.00     
Other Services  £34,000.00    
Salary recovered from those striking -£43,288.66
