The request was successful.

Dear Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust,
1How have you implemented these guidelines specifically it is important that women are offered, from the outset, the choice of having the procedure performed as a day case procedure under general or regional anaesthetic. 2 If not what is you basis for ignoring the RCOG

Dear Dean Hough

In reply to your query below I can advise that DCHS have nursing staff present during consultations and consultants are offering ladies the choice of General anaesthetic or local anaesthetic, this is also re iterated in the hysteroscopy leaflet given to patients (as attached). However we only under take local procedures within DCHS so if they require a General procedure they would need to attend the acute hospital.

I hope this provides more clarity to your request.
