Richards, Peter,

Mr Light,

Thank you for your enquiry regarding proposals for a railway, railway
stations, tramway, light railway or monorail within the Local Authority
boundary.

Yes, there are several proposals for railway and rail station projects in
West Lancashire.

If you are interested in knowing what they are, they are earmarked as part
of our adopted Local Plan, which can be viewed and downloaded at
[1]www.westlancs.gov.uk/2027.  I suggest you look at part 1 of Policy IF2
(p.121 of the Local Plan), where four rail-related schemes are listed
alongside other transport-related schemes.

If you would like more information on any of the schemes, please contact
Lancashire County Council, who are the Transport Authority for our local
authority area.

Street, Ormskirk, L39 2DF.

Please remember to quote the reference number above in any future
communications.

If you are not content with the outcome of an internal review, you have
the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
decision.  The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: Information
