Dear Mr Smith

TfL Ref: FOI-2791-2122

Thank you for your request received by us on 8 March 2022 asking for
asbestos report for the 1996 Jubilee Line rolling stock.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Environmental Information Regulations and our information access
policy.  Unfortunately, we do not hold the information you require. You
asked:

Please would it be possible to see the asbestos survey report for the 1996
stock jubilee line trains?

The 1996 Jubilee line rolling stock first entered service in 1997 as six
car units. In 2005 an additional trailer car was added to meet increasing
customer demand. Although the original stock was manufactured before the
ban on the use of asbestos in 1999, London Underground was heavily
involved in the selection of materials used, therefore no asbestos
containing materials are present in this rolling stock and an asbestos
survey is not required.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to
appeal.

Yours sincerely
