Quality Audits are completed on Safeguarding; these are reported to Head of Service via The Senior Manager.
During the Period of April 2017 – August 2017 (5months) how many Safeguarding Processes were initiated (Adult)

“ To support quality assurance and improvement work for example by carrying out quality audits, compiling reports on adult protection work and conducting occasional pieces of research on behalf of the Powys Adult Protection Committee and to contribute to the collation of monitoring data in relation to safeguarding adults work and the preparation of reports”
Can you inform me if the Specialist Designated Lead Manager for Safeguarding during the period March 2017 – Aug 2017 has produced reports on this aspect of their work?

Adult Safeguarding
The above is a summary of your request. The full details of the
information sought is provided to the officer to whom the request is
tasked.
Your request will now be considered and you will receive a response within
the statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Act, subject
to the information not being exempt or containing a reference to a third
party. In some circumstances Powys County Council may be unable to achieve
this deadline. If this is likely you will be informed and given a revised
time-scale at the earliest opportunity.
There may be a fee payable for the retrieval, collation and provision of
the information you request. If this is the case you will be informed and
the 20 working day timescale will be suspended until we receive payment
from you. If you choose not to make a payment then your request will
remain unanswered.

This is to inform you that your request has been considered and I can
provide the following response:
The Request:
Quality Audits are completed on Safeguarding; these are reported to Head

Number: 190 of which 169 enquiries were managed under Part 7 of the Social
Services and Wellbeing Act
I accept that these will full into the various categories you use to
distinguish how they ultimately were resolved, but my request is to do
with purely the Quality Audit.
2. How many of these were subject to Quality Audit
Number: 10 ( x2 per month)
3. Does the ‘Quality Audit’ have a Pass or Fail
No - but there are ratings for the qualitative audit tool and learning
can be identified to improve practice and recording.
I am aware the Post of: Adult Safeguarding - Specialist Designated Lead
Manager and that the post holder has as a Principal Responsibility “ To

No, Reports are produced in accordance with the Mid and West Wales
Safeguarding Board.

N/a - Quality Reports feed into Adult Service quality assurance meetings.
The area takes back the learning to embed into practice through
supervision and Individual Performance Reviews, identifying training
needs.
7. If No, who or what enables the report to be qualified as being
completed?
Quality Reports feed into Adult Service quality assurance meetings. The
area takes back the learning to embed into practice through supervision
and Individual Performance Reviews, identifying training needs.
We believe that this request is now complete and shall be closed
immediately. Should any further information be requested regarding this
topic, a separate request will need to be submitted.
