The request was partially successful.

Dear NHS West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group,

I'd like to please request the following information with regards to the pulmonary rehab services your patients have access to.

1) Who commissions the Pulmonary Rehab services your patients have access to and who provides these services?

2) When did the services first commence?

3) How many patients have been referred to the service in the last 12 months and 24 months of data held?

4) Of these being referred how many have actually attended the service in these same time periods?

5) How long does the average patient stay within the services?

6) What is the current waiting list size for the service?

7) What is the current remaining contract durations for these services?

8) Has the CCG ever commissioned Digital Respiratory Services?

If so were these for Pulmonary Rehab?

If so who were the providers?

If so how many patients have utilised this digital element?

Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions.

Yours faithfully,

I write further to your e-mail of 12 April 2022 regarding information
held by Ipswich & East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (IESCCG),
West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (WSCCG) and North East Essex
Clinical Commissioning Group (NEECCG). Your request has been dealt with in
accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

In response to your request,

I'd like to please request the following information with regards to the
pulmonary rehab services your patients have access to.

1) Who commissions the Pulmonary Rehab services your patients have access
to and who provides these services?

Services are commissioned by SNEE ICS (made up of Ipswich and East Suffolk
CCG, West Suffolk CCG, and North East Essex CCG). In Suffolk, PR services
are provided by community alliances, led by WSFT in West Suffolk and
ESNEFT, Ipswich Hospital in Ipswich and East Suffolk.

2) When did the services first commence?

Pulmonary rehabilitation services have been commissioned as part of
Suffolk community services since the before the CCGs formed on 1 April
2013, so for > 10 yrs.

3) How many patients have been referred to the service in the last 12
months and 24 months of data held?

This data will be available via East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation T
and WSFT.

4) Of these being referred how many have actually attended the service in
these same time periods?

This data will be available via ESNEFT and WSFT.

5) How long does the average patient stay within the services?

This data will be available via ESNEFT and WSFT.

6) What is the current waiting list size for the service?

This data will be available via ESNEFT and WSFT.

7) What is the current remaining contract durations for these services?

The community alliance contracts started on 1 October 2017 for a
seven-year term with the option to extend for a further three years.

8) Has the CCG ever commissioned Digital Respiratory Services?

In 2017, the MyCOPD app was launched, commissioned by NHSEI to support
patients with managing their COPD condition through inhaler technique
guidance, self-management and pulmonary rehabilitation exercises.  We are
currently exploring the uptake of this app with service users and
clinicians given the adaptive ways of supporting patients since the
pandemic.

Suffolk and North East Essex Long Covid Service are supporting patients to
use the NHS Your Covid Recovery app to enhance self-management.

Allied Health Professions Suffolk Pulmonary Rehabilitation self-referral
platform is being developed and plans to launch end of May/June 2022. This
would enable patients that meet the criteria to self-refer into the
pulmonary rehabilitation service.

If so were these for Pulmonary Rehab?

Yes – My COPD app

If so who were the providers?

• AHP Suffolk

If so how many patients have utilised this digital element?
