Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear South Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council,

It is my understanding that school governing bodies should produce both public and private minutes (the private minutes including confidential information on matters such as staffing). Please could I have public minutes for Mortimer Primary School dating from September 2018 to present.

If, for some reason, there aren't any public minutes could I have copies of minutes where my name - Elizabeth Grey or Mrs Grey - is mentioned during same time period. It is my understanding that I am entitled to this information regardless and all unrelated confidential details could be redacted.

Yours faithfully,

Elizabeth Grey

Dear foi,

Thank you for your partial response to this. I look forward to receiving the public minutes from September 2018 to present from you in due course.

Yours sincerely,

ELIZABETH GREY

Dear foi,

I have made a request to obtain copies of the public (Part One) minutes of governing body meetings for Mortimer Primary School. At the time of making the request I was under the impression that this information may be confidential, however I now know that school governor meeting minutes are public documents and they must be presented upon request.

There is no valid reason why these minutes have not been forwarded to me. The production of public minutes is a legal requirement, as is responding to FOI requests. This request is now overdue and failure to comply to the request is a breach of the law.

Yours sincerely,

ELIZABETH GREY
