Dear Department for Communities (Northern Ireland),

In reply to a previous Freedom Of Information request the Department provided the following answers:
1) “The Department has not charged the resident clubs or any other parties for the use of any facilities at the complex from 1 April 2010 to date.”
2) “The facilities operating at the complex consist of a grass football pitch and football club; a bowling green and bowling club; and a boxing club. Respectively, the beneficiaries in each financial year from 1 April 2010 to date have been the Albert Foundry Football Club, Albert Foundry Bowling Club & Albert Foundry Boxing Club.”
3) “The Department has not received any income from the complex from 1 April 2010 to date.”

As the Department did not charge or receive any fees from the Paisley Park sports facilities, under the Freedom Of Information Act can you please confirm;

1. The date the Department introduced the scheme to provide free sports facilities to clubs/groups?
2. the date or dates the Department advertised that free sporting facilities were available for use by all clubs and groups?
3. Where the Department advertised the free sports facilities?
4. The locations of all Departmental facilities provided free of charge to clubs or groups from 2010 to date?
5. The process for applying and conditions for receiving free use of the Department Of Communities sports facilities. (please provide copies of application forms or the address where the forms are issued from).
6. Why the Departments sporting facilities at Girdwood Park are not being provided free of charge to clubs and groups in the same manner as the facilities at Paisley Park?
7. please provide a full breakdown, from 2010 to date, of all Departmental expenditure on, or grant aided to:
a. the Paisley Park sports facility,
b. Albert Foundry Football Club,
c. Albert Foundry Bowling Club,
d. Albert Foundry Boxing Club,
e. any other club or organisation using, or in relation to their use of the Paisley Park sports facilities.

Yours faithfully,
Seamus McGivern
