We refer to your email dated 7^th October 2022, which contained a request
for information as set out in italics below.  Following consideration of
your request, in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I
respond to each point as follows:

 

1.              How many Service Users / Clients do you have in the
Community - Adults 

 

As at 30/09/2022 - 1442 (Includes short term services- excludes Telecare,
Equipment etc)

 

2.              How many Service Users / Clients do you have in
residential care? – Adults

 

As at 30/09/2022 - 492 (Includes long term placements only, including
those with nursing care)

 

3.              How many clients have moved from Community services into
residential care over the past 12 months?

 

We don't hold information in this way, however, there were 226 Residential
& Nursing Admissions that we commissioned between 01/10/2021 and
30/09/2022 (admissions would include those from community, hospital,
change in residential need e.g. Residential to Nursing etc)

 

a.              How many had Telecare?

 

94 had Telecare prior

 

b.              How many had mobile / SIM based Telecare?

 

91 had MRT prior

 

4.         How many new clients are receiving Community Care?

 

a.              FY 2021 / 22 –

 

368 (Long Term Domiciliary Care and Day Care only- new starters to
service. Cannot advise if they were in receipt of any other community
service such as Telecare, Respite, etc prior to commencing these services)

 

b.              FY 2022 – (01/04/2022-30/09/2022)- 

 

219 (Long Term Domiciliary Care and Day Care only- new starters to
service. Cannot advise if they were in receipt of any other community
service such as Telecare, Respite, etc prior to commencing these services)

 

5.         What is the current rate for domiciliary care per hour in the
community to the Local Authority?-

 

£24.64/hr is the average hourly rate

 

6.         What is the current cost of a Residential placement per week to
the Local Authority?-

 

£691/wk is standard residential rate

£737/wk is residential EMI rate

 

7.         How many days have you been charged for clients in hospital
that have been medically fit for discharge and awaiting community care?

 

a.         FY 2021 / 22

 

b.         FY 2022 – to date

 

c.         For how many people has this been?

 

There is no charge from the Health Board to the Local Authority in
relation to delayed transfers.
