Provision of road traffic information to Elgin

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Isle of Wight Council,

The roadworks.org website, operated by elgin, suggests that the Isle of Wight Council provides traffic information data to that service on a regular basis, at least in respect of:

- Road closures
- Traffic restrictions
- Current Roadworks (Roadworks data update frequency: 30 mins)
- Planned Roadworks
- Forward Planning roadworks
- Section 58 restrictions
- NSG (National Street Gazetteer)

Reference: http://portal.v7.roadworks.org/data/dsp_...

Please could you tell me:

1) Under what licensing terms this data is made available to elgin.

2) Whether or not any payments are made by the Isle of Wight Council to elgin/roadworks.org, or from elgin/roadworks.org to the IW Council, in respect of the provision, processing and publication of this data, and if so how much (using financial year 2013/2014 or calendar year 2014 as a basis, whichever is more convenient).

3) How the data is provided to elgin, giving an example of a typical data feed or data table, as supplied to elgin, and in the corresponding format, for each case listed above.

4) The frequency with which the data is made available to elgin.

5) Whether the Isle of Wight council makes or has any intention to make the raw data, or data in the form as supplied to elgin, available from the Isle for Wight Council website, or partner websites such as Island Roads, as an open data feed under the terms of the Open Government Licence, or similar, now or in the near future.

Yours faithfully,

Tony Hirst
