Dear Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust,

I would like to please request the following information.

1. In the most recent 12 months of data which you have access to, how many patients have been diagnosed with the following stages of prostate cancer:
A) Stage 1 and stage 2 - localised prostate cancer
B) Stage 3 cancer that has not spread to other parts of the body - locally advanced prostate cancer
C) Stage 4 cancer which has spread to other parts of the body - metastatic prostate cancer.

2. In reference to the answer for question 1:

A) what number, for each stage, received novel imaging?
B) what was the average, for each stage, time post diagnosis for them to receive the novel imaging?

3. In the most recent 12 months of data which you have access to, how many patients in total initially sat within the urology department, but were referred to the oncology department before they develop metastases?

4. In reference to the answer for question 3, what number of these patients developed metastases prior to being referred to the oncology department.

5. For all patients who have received darolutamide, what is the average duration of treatment?

Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions.

Yours faithfully,

Oliver Caswell

Dear Requester

FOI 2022 693

Thank you for your information request received by us 26 October 2022.

This request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Please note that Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
merged with West Middlesex University Hospital in September 2015, for this
reason our response covers both sites

Freedom Of Information Data Request Questions

With regards to your questions below I am afraid that we are unable to
answer them for you.

The FOI would require the specialty to look through 462 individual patient
records which at a conservative guess of 10min per record would equate to
77 hours work. Even at 5 min it would take over 36 hours. We therefore
will have to apply a section 12 exemption based on cost.

Some of the information would have been available on the Somerset system
but due to bugs in the current version we are unable to retrieve that
information until an upgrade has been performed.(Helpdesk reference
[#ID:SCRINC-001897#] - Unfortunately, that is a bug is your current
version.  The only resolve is an upgrade I am afraid.)

If you would like to re-submit your request at a later date we might be in
a better position to answer at least part of it. If there is a different
approach  you can think of to get the information you need then please let
us know. I’m sorry we can’t be of more help at this time.
