PROMs Data Collection
Dear Airedale NHS Foundation Trust,
Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) assess the quality of care delivered to NHS patients from the patient perspective. Currently covering two clinical procedures, PROMs calculate the health gains after surgical treatment using pre- and post-operative surveys.
The two procedures are: hip replacements & knee replacements.
With this is mind, please provide responses to the following questions:
1. What method(s) is your Trust using to gather and collate PROMs data?
2. Do you use an electronic solution to gather this data, is it paper-based, or both?
3. If electronic, what solution(s) are you using?
4. Who is responsible for the gathering and collation of PROMs data within your Trust (name & job title)?
Yours faithfully,
Rita Gillespie
Dear Mr Gillespie
Further to your application to access information under the Freedom of
Information Act (ANHSFT REF. 4671) please find our response below.
We use a paper form to collate the information from patients in our pre-op
assessment clinic. A Charge Nurse for pre-op assessment oversees the
collection of the data, but the Medical Director Karl Mainprize has
overall responsibility for the PROMS data. This information is then
forwarded to Quality Health Limited who collate the information.
We trust you find our response helpful. If you feel we are not complying
with our publication scheme, you feel your request has not been properly
handled, or you are dissatisfied, you can write within 40 working days to
Brendan Brown, Chief Executive at the address below to request a review.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner under
section 50 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 if you are dissatisfied
with the outcome of that review.
Unless identified as another party's copyright, you may use and re-use the
information we have provided (not including logos or photographs), free of
charge in any format or medium, under the terms of the Open Government
Licence which can be viewed via the link below.
