Progress reports for the Bexhill Hastings Link Road

Roedd y cais yn rhannol lwyddiannus.

Dear East Sussex County Council,

In its letter of full approval for funding of the Bexhill Hastings Link Road, the Department for Transport stated (point xi) that: 'You are required to provide us with a progress report to be sent to the Department setting out the levels of developer interest in and commitment to the proposed housing and employment sites in North East Bexhill in the light of this provisional funding approval; and a commitment to report on this annually to the Department'.

I would like to see the annual progress reports from ESCC to the DfT for 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

In addition, the full approval letter states (point xii) that 'You are required to provide us with a plan to be sent to the Department setting out how the Council will ensure that local unemployed people are given appropriate support so that they are well placed to compete for the jobs which will be ultimately delivered by the scheme'.

I would like to see a copy of this plan.

Yours faithfully,

Gabriel Carlyle

Request

In its letter of full approval for funding of the Bexhill Hastings Link
Road, the Department for Transport stated (point xi) that: 'You are
required to provide us with a progress report to be sent to the Department
setting out the levels of developer interest in and commitment to the

of this provisional funding approval; and a commitment to report on this
annually to the Department'.

I would like to see the annual progress reports from ESCC to the DfT for
2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

In addition, the full approval letter states (point xii) that 'You are
required to provide us with a plan to be sent to the Department setting
out how the Council will ensure that local unemployed people are given
appropriate support so that they are well placed to compete for the jobs
which will be ultimately delivered by the scheme'.

I would like to see a copy of this plan.

Response

The following is a summary of the DfT Reporting Requirements:

A progress report to be sent to the Department by no later than 31st March
2014, and annually thereafter for a duration to be agreed between the
Department and the Council, setting out the levels of developer interest
in and commitment to the proposed employment and housing sites in North
East Bexhill in the light of this funding approval [Annex 12]

Progress reports on the delivery of the plan set out in Annex 13 of the
Final Funding Bid (December 2012) setting out how the Council will ensure
that local unemployed people are given appropriate support so that they
are well placed to compete for the jobs which will ultimately be delivered
by the scheme. First report due 31 March 2014 and then annually thereafter
until such time as agreed dependant on the rate of progress.

Please find attached a copy of the annual Progress Reports submitted by
ESCC to the DfT in 2014, 2015 and 2016 for Annexes 12 and 13 in accordance
with the requirements of the Full Approval of the funding confirmed by the
DfT in April 2013. There was no requirement to submit annual Progress
Reports for Annexes 12 and 13 in 2013.

{The Parameter Plan was issued as an attachment to the Annex 12 Progress
Report issued in 2014}
