2. what professional bodies the council pays for staff to have individual membership of
3. the number of individual memberships the council pays for staff to have
4. how much the council spent on corporate memberships of professional bodies in the last two financial years
5. how much the council spent on individual memberships of professional bodies in the last two financial years
If it is possible to break-down the figures by departments that would be useful.

Request for information: Membership of professional bodies

I refer to your request for information which was dealt with in terms of
the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA).
Please see attached and information below not all our Departments record
membership separately.
Individual Membership Fees for Procurement

Governance Unit
We have six people on the Association of Electoral Administration
membership at the moment at £57 each - total for 6 is £342.
Legal Unit
We currently pay for 15 staff memberships to The Law Society - fees run
from 1 Nov each year.
£9,692.50 for year 2018/19
£10,125 for year 2017/18
£9,200 for year 2016/17
Health & Safety Pay professional membership of IOSH for the manager,
officers and assistant in the last 2 years as follows:
2017/18 total spent - £670-00 - 1 manager, 3 officers & 1 assistant
2018/19 total spent - £790.00 - 1 manager, 3 officers & 1 assistant
Human Resources and Organisational Development is the following:
1) we pay for personal membership for CIPD - Professional Body for Human
Resources and People.
2) in 2019 we spent £2,824
In 2018 we spent £3,034
In 2017 we spent £2,875
3) This year we are covering the membership of 20 members of staff.
Community Planning/Community Development.

Business Continuity institute and the Emergency Planning Society. We have
not yet set anything up for Belinda.
Fees are as follows:
EPS - £120
BCI - £120
