Dear Gurpreet Narwan
Thank you for your request for information from the University of York.
Please see our response below.

The University does not have specific measures in place for problem
gambling but does provide advice to students who need support for any
issue. The University’s [1]Addiction webpage provides links to gambling
addiction support, and the [2]Help and Support webpage gives details of
support networks including college teams, student hub, academic
supervisors, YUSU welfare team, and Open Door.

Open Door Team have confirmed that they do see students with gambling
problems, but do not maintain statistics on this. Often gambling presents
itself along with a range of other issues. Open Door are not specialists
in this area so often direct students to other agencies for specific help.

Yours sincerely,
