Thank you for your information enquiry of the above reference number.  Due
to the nature of your request, it has been dealt with under the Freedom of
Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

 

Please note that South Ayrshire Council’s Landlord Registration system is
provided by the Scottish Government and offers the following functions:

 

•         The online application process used by landlords

•         The public search facility used by tenants and neighbours

•         The administrative portal used by local authority Landlord
Registration teams

 

I can confirm that this online platform was wholly redeveloped and
re-launched in February 2017, and that information relating to
applications under the legacy system is no longer available. This
paragraph therefore acts as a refusal notice under Section 17 of the above
named Act that information prior to this time is not held by South
Ayrshire Councli.

 

With regards to information from February 2017, I can confirm as follows:

 

1. Since. January 2010 to December 2019 how many applications were made to
register as a private landlord?

 

• New applications: 2417

• Renewal applications: 7311

• Update applications: 2903

 

2. Same period how many applications were rejected?

 

1 application rejected

 

3. Same period how many registrations were revoked?

 

1 registration revoked

 

4. What type of Disclosure Scotland certificate do you obtain if at all on
the applicant?

 

I can confirm that no Disclosure Scotland certificate is obtained.
