Dear Sir/Madam

I must advise that, as your request did not include your Full name, it is
strictly speaking not a valid one under the Freedom of Information
(Scotland) Act 2002. While we have no wish to hold up your enquiry it could
pose problems if you are dissatisfied with the response provided by the
local authority. The danger is that the absence of a surname means that you
are unable to appeal to the Scottish Information Commissioner if you are
unhappy with the information given in response to your request. While we
would hope that that this would not be the case, it would not be
appropriate for the Council to process your request in its current form. I
would therefore ask that you resubmit your request to us along with your

If you are dissatisfied with the way in which East Dunbartonshire Council

Glasgow Taxi Association would be grateful if you could provide the
following statistics:

(1) Total number of private hire drivers licences for EACH fiscal year from
April 2012 until April 2015.

(2) Total number of private hire vehicle licences for EACH fiscal year from
April 2012 until April 2015.

(3) Number of persons GRANTED a private hire drivers licence for EACH
fiscal year from April 2012 until April 2015.

(4) Number of private hire vehicle licences GRANTED for EACH fiscal year
from April 2012 until April 2015.

(5) Number of persons GRANTED a private hire drivers licence for EACH
fiscal year from April 2012 until April 2015, where the applicant's address
stated is outwith the East Dunbartonshire council area.
