Dear HM Prison Service,

Please, can you answer the following questions?:

1. What is the procedure that is followed by a Prison Governor when a request to interview/arrest an already serving prisoner is sent to him from a police force?

2. Please can you send to me a copy of the prison rules governing such police requests (mentioned in 1 above)?.

3. On what grounds can a Prison Governor refuse to make a prisoner available to the police so that he can be arrested and interviewed?
