Freedom of Information, Buckinghamshire Council

Dear Mr Kaur

FOI / EIR 22618

Thank you for your request for information regarding pothole damage.

This request has been handled under the Environmental Information
Regulations 2004.

We can confirm that Buckinghamshire Council does hold information falling
within the description specified in your request.

Please find the relevant details below.

I am looking to know how many potholes have been reported in 2018, 2019,
2020 in Chalfont St Peter to Transport for Buckinghamshire.

Potholes in Chalfont St Peter

  2018 2019 2020
Potholes reported 449 277 241
Potholes repaired 270 202 286

The average Cost of filling in a pothole in 2016, 2017 and 2018
respectively
Transport for Buckinghamshire does not define a standard price per
pothole. The resource associated (plant/labour/materials) is allocated
against each job and therefore the price will vary depending upon issues
such as size, depth, location and traffic management requirements.  On
average over the three year period in question however, the cost is
approximately £72 per pothole

I would like to know how many claims did you receive for pothole damage to
vehicles in Chalfont St Peter, Chalfont St Giles and Little Chalfont in
2020.
A total of 18 claims have been received with a 2020 incident date

I would also like to know how many of those claims were successful and
what amount of money was paid out in total?

As it currently stands none of the above claims have been paid
