22/001: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST

 

Thank you for your email dated 01/04/2022 requesting information under the
Freedom of Information Act 2000. In that request, you asked us for
information regarding potholes.  

 

I require further information in order to identify and locate the
information that you have asked for. I will not be able to take this
matter further until you can clarify exactly what information you require.
In particular please would you clarify the timeframe for which you are
requesting information. If no response is received within two months the
request will be considered closed.

 

If you have any queries about this letter or are unhappy about the service
you have received in relation to your request and wish to make a complaint
or request a review, please do not hesitate to contact me in writing. A
request for an internal review should be made within 40 working days of
the date of the response.

 

If you are not content with the outcome of your complaint, you may apply

2018/19 - £853,702

2019/20 - £883,420

2020/21 - £870,333

*Please note, we do not hold the data as you have requested so the spend
above is for each financial year. The figures for 2021/22 are not yet
available.

 

What is the average time between a pothole being reported and filled?

We do not hold this information. The works orders and 3^rd party reports
are not linked in anyway for this to be calculated.

 

How many legal claims have been made against the council as a result of
damage caused by potholes?

2021 25 (2 Successfully)
2020 40 (5 Successful)
2019 39

 

How much has this cost the council in compensation?

2021 £569.17 compensation paid no fees incurred
2020 £807.90 Compensation paid no fees incurred.
