Post-Brexit data flow in the event of a no deal scenario
Dear Department for Exiting the European Union,
I am aware that on 23 July 2018 you published a response to an FoI request entitled "Current DExEU expectations with regards to GDPR and data flow between Britain and the EU "
At that point a "No Deal" scenario seemed only a distant possibility and the response to the above request envisaged an adequacy determination by the EU in respect of the UK's treatment of personal data.
Please now provide further information on your department's planning for the flow of personal data should the UK leave the EU in a "No Deal" situation.
Yours sincerely,
Adrian Beney
