Dear BBC,

Please can you tell me how many complaints you have received about the portrayal of Hindus spanning the last 15 years?

The BBC's own mission, values and public purposes state: “to provide impartial news and information to help people understand and engage with the world around them and in our journalism, we seek to establish the truth and use the highest reporting standards to provide coverage that is fair and accurate.”

My request concerns complaints about Indian and Hindu representation, poor quality reporting, news that is fake, misleading, racist, unfair or inaccurate about them, their religion (eg. including caste), and their homeland (eg. India).

Within the remit of my request, can you please also provide me with a breakdown of how many such complaints focused on the following:

1. Hindu-Muslim civil unrest in Leicester (2022)
2. BBC two-part documentary entitled, India: The Modi Question.
3. Any recent radio or other television output
