Policy on student-on-student sexual misconduct

The request was successful.

Dear King's College, Cambridge,

Please could you tell me if you have a specific policy for dealing with student-on-student sexual misconduct, as I have been unable to find this information on your website. Other Cambridge Colleges have policies for dealing with harassment and sexual misconduct, and I would like to know how your College deals with such issues.

Yours faithfully,

Lara Brett

Dear Lara Brett,

This is in reply to your enquiry received by the College on 24 August and
made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). I can confirm that
the College does hold some information related to your request, though we
do not have a specific policy for dealing with student-on-student sexual
misconduct. The information as held by the College is as below and
attached.

The attached page (from the student intranet pages) on Sexual Harassment
and Assault refers at the bottom to the (attached) Student Complaints
Procedure which has a link to the  (attached) student disciplinary policy
which advises students to fill in a concern form (attached). Where the
concern form says at the top that 'a list of the rules is available
<<here>>' it links to the student disciplinary policy.

If you have further questions please ask me in the first instance. I
attach a leaflet outlining the College's FOI Act policies and procedures.
If, after following those procedures you are still not satisfied with the
way in which your request has been dealt with you may apply directly to
the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the Commissioner
will not entertain your complaint unless you have exhausted any relevant
internal review procedures.
Yours sincerely
Peter Jones
FOI officer, King's College, Cambridge
