Sheree Evans,

Dear Mr Jolly

Thank you very much for taking the time to write to our office.

I have spoken to Julia about your concerns and she has asked me to respond
on her behalf, to ensure you receive a response as soon as possible.

Firstly, I would like to reassure you that there is a positive duty on
North Yorkshire Police (NYP) to facilitate lawful and peaceful protests
and this will certainly be the case for fracking. Further to this, NYP has
the necessary contingencies and budgets in place to ensure the force is
well able to deal with such events in the calm and professional manner,
minimising the effect this has on local residents. NYP are liaising with
all relevant parties and will continue to do so. If you have any specific
concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will ensure they are
raised with the appropriate person.

I hope this has helped to reassure you that NYP will continue to work with
the public and ensure all policies and procedures are upheld.

If there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Many thanks,

Sheree Evans
