Police.uk domain names

The request was partially successful.

Dear Sir or Madam,

The website for Nominet, who manage the .uk TLD includes a page [http://www.nic.uk/registrants/aboutdomai... concerning the delegated management of domain names. On this page is states: "Applications for police.uk domain names need to be approved by the National Policing Improvement Authority (NPIA)."

I am making a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I would like to know about the rules and procedures concerning the management of domain names in the police.uk sub-domain. Please would you provide the following information:

(a) Please would you release an electronic copy of the rules covering the criteria for approving a police.uk domain name;

(b) Please would you provide a list of all domain names registered in the police.uk sub-domain;

(c) Please would you identify on the list provided in response to (b) above, which of the domain names are used/operated by organisations which have a limited company status (i.e. are not police forces, police authorities, local authorities or government departments or agencies).

Yours faithfully,
