Police Place Funding

Andrew Lennox made this Rhyddid Gwybodaeth request to East Dunbartonshire Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

We're waiting for Andrew Lennox to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear East Dunbartonshire Council,

How much of East Dunbartonshire Councils funding is paid to Police Scotland for the Place Officers who work within Auchinairn, Hillhead, Harestanes and Lennoxtown. I have seen that those areas are allocated individual Place Police Officers.

Is the funding annual or bi-annual and where does the funds one from?

Yours faithfully,

Mr Lennox

East Dunbartonshire Council

Dear Mr Lennox

Thank you for your email.

I am writing to advise you that your request did not include your Full
Name, it is strictly speaking not a valid one under the Freedom of
Information (Scotland) Act 2002. While we have no wish to hold up your
enquiry it could pose problems if you are dissatisfied with the response
provided by the local authority.

The danger is that the absence of a Full Name means that you are unable to
appeal to the Scottish Information Commissioner if you are unhappy with the
information given in response to your request. While we would hope that
that this would not be the case, it would not be appropriate for the
Council to process your request in its current form.

I would therefore ask that you resubmit your request to us along with your
full name in the body of the text.

Yours faithfully,

Mr S Singh
