Planning appeals
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to make a Freedom of Information request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I would like to request information on the number of planning applications that went to appeal due to the local councillors not supporting the planning officers' decision. Specifically, I would like to know:
How many planning applications went to appeal due to the local councillors not supporting the planning officers' decision in the last 3 financial years.
Of those appeals, how many were upheld by the Planning Inspectorate?
How much did these appeals cost the local government in total?
I would appreciate if the information could be provided in electronic format, preferably in an Excel or CSV spreadsheet. If this is not possible, please let me know and I will make alternative arrangements.
If any of the information requested is exempt from disclosure, please provide a brief explanation of why the exemption applies.
I understand that you are required to respond to my request within 20 working days of receipt. If you need any further information or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for your assistance with this matter.
Yours faithfully,
Frank Glossop
