Dear Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland,
Under the auspices of the Freedom of Information Acts, please could you send me information as to what conditions must be satisfied to enable pensions to be withheld from an officer when he is sacked from the police. Under what acts, legislation or guidance is this and pensions in general covered?
Are ACPO officers covered differently from other officers?
The ACPOS Office is now closed and this mailbox will no longer be
monitored. The Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland (ACPOS)
ceased to function as of 31 March 2013.
