Dear Ms Shoraka

Thank you for your request of 11 December 2019 in which you asked for
information about investments of the Oxfordshire County Council Pension
Fund as at 31 March 2019.

Please see responses below:

1)        Please provide in Microsoft excel format for the end of the
2018/19 financial year:

 a. the sum total of pension fund assets under management;

Please see cell M262 of the attached spreadsheet.

 b. full details of what the Local Government Pension Fund currently
invests in, including the full name and amounts of each fund, bond,
institution and investment held, by asset class or category, including
specific equities;

Please see details in the attached spreadsheet.

 c. full details of any investments in: renewable energy, green
technologies, social housing or community wealth building or low
carbon funds.

The Pension Fund invests in two Impact Property Funds with Bridges Fund
Management – further details are available on their website
[1]https://www.bridgesfundmanagement.com/pr.... Other than these two
funds the Pension Fund did not hold any investments specifically focused
on the classes you have listed although it did hold a number of renewable
assets/investments through pooled funds. Subsequent to year-end the
Pension Fund has also made investments in renewable energy infrastructure
funds.

I would like to receive this information in an unlocked excel sheet
without protected cells (.xls). If you have to password protect the excel
sheet, please can you also provide the password to the excel sheet.

2)         Please provide any Local Government Pension Fund or Council
policy or strategy statements, meeting minutes, investment principles, or
Investment Strategy Statements that commit to reducing investments in
fossil fuel producers or to decarbonise the Fund

I have attached the Pension Fund’s Investment Strategy Statement (ISS)
that was in force at 31 March 2019 for your information although this does
not make any explicit commitment to reducing investments in fossil fuel
producers or to decarbonising the Fund. The ISS is due for review at the
Pension Fund Committee meeting on 6^th March 2020. In order for the
Committee to consider whether any amendments should be made to the policy
in respect of climate change the Pension Fund organised a full day Climate
Change Workshop on 8^th November 2019 which was attended by ~40
individuals representing a range of views including Committee members,
Local Pension Board members, Fund officers, Brunel Pension Partnership
representatives, Fossil Free Oxfordshire group members, and expert
speakers. A working group has now been formed to consider the outcomes of
the Workshop and how these should be reflected in the Fund’s investment
policies.
