Penalty Charges Issued at Pier Road car park for non-payment during free hour

Following a discussion with an enforcement officer, please provide the number of Penalty Charge Notices that have been issued at Pier Road car park, Seaview, in these circumstances:

No payment or no display of a ticket, after 6pm, during the first hour of parking.

(A sign at the entrance states this is free of charge).

Thank you for your information request received by the Isle of Wight
Council on 24th August 2020.

 

As required by the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the Isle of Wight
Council will respond to you as soon as possible and no later than 20
working days after the receipt of your request.

 

Under the Act, there is a limit for responding to requests where they
exceed the Appropriate Fee Limit as set out in the Freedom of Information
and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulation 2004. The fee
limit is set down by the Lord Chancellor and is £450 which equates to a
maximum of 18 hours of search and retrieval time.

possible, to discuss any options available to you.

write to the Corporate Information Unit, County Hall, Newport, Isle of

I would be happy with a number since charges were restarted in the summer
2020, or if that would exceed the costs limit,  for August 2020.

 

Answer: We recommenced charging from June at pier road car park and our
report shows one PCN has been issued after 6pm for being parked without
payment.

 

If you have any complaints in respect of your information request, please
