Pedestrian Crossings with White Globe Beacon

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Clackmannanshire Council,

I am looking to find out the locations of Pedestrian ‘Centre Island’ crossings in Clackmannanshire Council. Please can you provide me with the following information:

1) A list of all the pedestrian crossings marked with a white centre island globe beacon within Clackmannanshire Council boundaries.

2) Information on how many ‘White centre island globe beacons’ on each crossing point.

3) The above would ideally include the use of the Geo-coordinate system information of each site, but also the street name and location.

The information will be used to provide a complete map of the District to aid in the navigation of Clackmannanshire Council for pedestrians.

Yours faithfully,

John Kariuki

Suzanne Kettrick, Clackmannanshire Council

Dear Mr. Kariuki

Freedom of Information Enquiry: PLA04101B1

Thank you for your information request dated 21/12/2020.

I am happy to supply you with the information you requested.

I am looking to find out the locations of Pedestrian ‘Centre Island’
crossings in Clackmannanshire Council. Please can you provide me with the
following information:

1) A list of all the pedestrian crossings marked with a white centre
island globe beacon within Clackmannanshire Council boundaries.

There is 1 (one) crossing island in Clackmannanshire that is marked with a
white globe.

2) Information on how many ‘White centre island globe beacons’ on each
crossing point.

There is 1 (one) white globe.

3) The above would ideally include the use of the Geo-coordinate system
information of each site, but also the street name and location.

A907, Clackmannan Bypass - GR 291505, 692589.

As you will be aware, the white globes are only required where the Roads
Authority considers that the crossing island may be difficult to see by
approaching drivers. Clackmannanshire Council does not hold a record of
the locations of crossing islands that do not have white globes.

Yours sincerely

Alan Murray
