Gadawodd Neil Wilby anodiad ()

Not for the first time, in my own experience, the Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire has deliberately 'run down the clock' and then provided what, taken at its face, is a fallacious response:

The BBC, no less, has reported:

(i) That four members of her staff have complained about PCC Julia Mulligan and their complaints of bullying were upheld by an independent panel.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-yo...

(ii) That, since the first complaints were upheld, two other members of staff have complained. The panel's finding on those is expected shortly.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-yo...

That makes six complaints in total that are already in the public domain. It is impossible to reconcile that number with the proposition that there has been only one, according to Will Naylor.

My respectful suggestion to Mr Williams, in respect of an internal review request, would be to put Mr Naylor to proof over the searches he has undertaken (when, where, how), and ask for disclosure of the internal emails where this information request is either the subject, or part of the body text.

Gadawodd Edward Williams anodiad ()

Mr Wilby's annotation is noted, with thanks.
PPC Julia Mulligan will kindly take note of the comment and respond accordingly.

Gadawodd Neil Wilby anodiad ()

Public authorities do not see annotations left on request threads. Unless they actively look for them.

For the PCC's office to consider the points I've raised you would have to formally incorporate them in your internal review request.

In the meantime, I have storified this request and also highlighted some of the wider failings of the officer who dealt with it:
