Payments to the "war chest" to fight discplinary cases.
Dear Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner,
It has been reported that Police and Crime Commissioners are paying more than £3000 a year per chief officer into what has been described as a "war chest" to fight costly long running disciplinary cases. The result of these contributions is that chief constables can access a policy run by the Chief Police Officers Staff Association to pay their legal bills.
Please advise how much Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner has paid for these purposes in each of the last 3 years?
Yours faithfully,
Barbara Jones
