Patients openly audio recording consultations

Waiting for an internal review by Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust of their handling of this request.

Christopher Harris

Dear Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust,

I would be grateful, if under the FOIA 2000, you could provide me with the following information:

What is the Trust policy on patients overtly recording a consultation?
Would the Trust cancel the patient's assessment/consultation if the patient specifically stated he/she wanted to record the consultation/assessment?

Could you please provide me with all relating Trust policy documentation to support the Trust's stance on this matter, including Policy documents.

Thank you in advance, for your response.

Yours faithfully,

Christopher Harris

Christopher Harris

Dear Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's handling of my FOI request 'Patients openly audio recording consultations'.

NHS Protect published guidelines on this very subject in May 2016. These are guidelines of best practice. I am curious as to why the Trust has not incorporated these into a policy document, and seems oblivious to them.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...

Yours faithfully,

Christopher Harris
