Dear Freedom of Information,
I have provided a real name! I’m not sure how you can try and say this isn’t a real name!
Yours sincerely,
Bernadett Riley
Good Afternoon,
For a request to be valid you must:
include the requester’s real name. The Act treats all requesters alike, so you should not normally seek to
verify the requester’s identity. However, you may decide to check their identity if it is clear they are
using a pseudonym or if there are legitimate grounds for refusing their request and you suspect they are
trying to avoid this happening, for example because their request is vexatious or repeated. Remember that
a request can be made in the name of an organisation, or by one person on behalf of another, such as a
solicitor on behalf of a client;
You can find more information about The definition of a ‘real name’
[1]https://ico.org.uk/media/for-organisatio...
According to our records as you can see in the email attached, you just provided one name and a request to
be valid you must provide both forename and surname.
As you have now provided us with this information, your request will now be actioned within the
appropriate timeframe.
Yours sincerely,

generate their own income. Any information held about these activities
will potentially fall within the scope of the exemption.
