John Boring made this Rhyddid Gwybodaeth request to HM Passport Office

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

We're waiting for John Boring to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear HM Passport Office,

Please can you tell me whether you have done any public consultation regarding the opinions of holders (or potential holders) of UK passports concerning the desirable colour for the cover. If so, please can you tell me the results of any such consultation.

I am particularly interested in knowing the proportions of UK passport holders who:

(a) would prefer to see a change to a blue passport,
(b) would prefer to retain the current burgundy passport,
(c) couldn't give a flying fuck.

Yours faithfully,

John Boring

Dear HM Passport Office,

Thank you for your further response. Really, there is no need for you to auto-reply to my acknowledgement of your auto-reply. We could end up going round this loop for even longer than it takes to get through Malaga airport after Brexit (with or without the colour change commissioned by Her Britannic Majesty's Secretary of State).

Yours faithfully,

John Boring
