Parrot Ar.Drone legality
Dear Civil Aviation Authority,
Please can I ask for the regulations and law relating to the Parrot AR.Drone 2.0.
It's this:
It's a posh toy for grown-ups. It is a four blade drone, about 1 foot across, which can be bought by anybody and flown with a smartphone (android or Iphone / Ipad.)
It will fly up to 100m high, and is equipped with a hi definition camera. The operator can view the images live on their smartphone, also they can record video and still images to their phone or to a USB stick.
This article http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8517726.stm suggests that there may be issues in flying the drone without a license.
I should like please to see any papers / communications relating to civilian use of such drones, also copies of relevant rules and regulations.
Thank you
Yours faithfully,
Doug Paulley
