Dear Mr Schofield,
Thank you for your enquiry under the Freedom of Information Act to the
Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in respect of their Parks Police
Service.
The Answers to your questions are follows:
a) Job Descriptions for each rank/grade of the Parks Police Service.
Job Descriptions / Role Profile for the three ranks in the Parks Police
Service are shown in the WORD documents attached.
b) The pay scale used for each rank/grade of the Parks Police Service.
Parks Police Constable: £23,232 to £27,394 (SCP31) Parks Police Sergeant:
£33,106 to £38,798 (SCP44) Parks Police Inspector £39,500 to £45,000
(HAY)
c) Details of any additional allowances payable to members of the
Parks Police Service.
All RBKC staff who have completed 1 years service are eligible to
receive a travel allowance for Zones 1 & 2 equivalent to £1296 per annum.
Should the employee . wish to purchase a bicycle under the
cycle to work scheme this is offset against the allowance. Details of the
scheme are detailed in the WORD document attached. . . There
is also a shift allowance and weekend enhancement amounting to a maximum
of £5,000 pa for Constable and Sergeant Posts.
d) The budgeted and actual expenditure/income for the 2015-16 financial
year.
2015/16 Budget: £842,940 Actual: £827,330
e) The budget for the current financial year
2016/17 Budget: £ 711,410
The Parks Police are a shared service between the Royal Borough of
Kensington and Chelsea and the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
The figures give above are in respect of the RBKC element alone. The
attached fact sheet gives details of the service and the duties they
perform.
