Dear Freedomofinformation (BIRMINGHAM WOMEN'S AND CHILDREN'S NHS FOUNDATION TRUST),
Thank you for your response. Parental alienation is broadly defined as the emotional abuse and harm of a child by one parent preventing the child from having a healthy and meaningful relationship with the other parent. It falls under the Serious Crime Act (as amended) under emotional harm and abuse of a child.
Hope this helps
Yours sincerely,
H. Grants
