I wish to request information pertaining to the operation of the 'Parent Alert Scheme', as outlined in the document 'East Dunbartonshire Anti Social Behaviour Strategy 2005 - 2008'.
i) Please provide a list of 'known disorder areas', and any documents held which relate to how these areas were decided upon.
ii) What legislation permits for 'community police officers' to disturb and interfere with activity which is not criminal in nature?
iii) What legislation permits the release of information to the parents concerning the whereabouts of the child?
iv) How is information concerning the contact details of the parents provided to the 'community police officers'?
v) What legislation permits the disturbance of parents by 'community police officers' informing them of the location of their child?
vi) What records are kept of such incidents, for how long, and for what purpose?
vii) Which local businesses have contributed cellular communications devices to this initiative?

advise that although the Parent Alert Scheme is a joint council/police
strategy it is operated and delivered by Strathclyde Police. Therefore
they advise that they do not hold the information to respond to your
request. I apologise that this was not identified earlier.
