Organisational structure and contact details
Dear Burnley Borough Council,
Please may I have the managerial organisational structure for your
council? Also a breakdown of the individual teams within the
council also including the names and contact details including
telephone numbers of all of the team members for each area. Also a
list of external suppliers used by the council.
Please could you clarify the organisation structure of the
marketing/communications department with contact details and names
of staff ?

Dear Emma Smith,
This is a response to your Freedom of Information request received on
21^st August 2014 regarding:
1) The managerial organisational structure for the council
2) A breakdown of the individual teams within the council including the
names and contact details including telephone numbers of all of the team
members for each area
3) A list of external suppliers used by the council
4) Clarification on the organisation structure of the
marketing/communications department with contact details and names of
staff
Individual responses to each of the questions raised is as follows:
a) Management Structure. Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act
2000 exempts information if it is reasonably accessible to the applicant
by other means. This provision confers absolute exemption for the purposes
of Section 2 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The information you
have requested is accessible through the Council’s Publication Scheme and
is available on the Council web site under ‘management structure’ and
therefore this part of the Freedom of Information request cannot be met
b) The Head of Service contact details as applicable to the management
structure are attached to this email
c) Details of external Council suppliers are attached to this email
d) The Marketing and Communications organisational structure is
attached to this email. However, the provision of individuals names and
contact details of all team members cannot be met. Where a Freedom of
Information request is related to information regarding private
individuals provision of any personal information including the names and
contact details of those individuals, is exempt under section 40 of the
Freedom of Information Act 2000, in that disclosure would contravene the
Data Protection Act 1998.
You may, if dissatisfied with the treatment of your request, ask the
council to conduct a review of its decision under the council's complaints
procedure. The review will be carried out by someone who has not been
involved in dealing with your request for information. Please e-mail or
write if you would like a review.
If, following the review, you remain dissatisfied with the council's
treatment of your request then you may take your complaint to the
Information Commissioner at Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire
SK9 5AF.
